The purple flower is not part of Martelize's suit: It's the decoration on the clip of the dummy chain (or rather dummy ribbon) that Thelwyn has made for her. Thelwyn has made several different dummy ribbons and chose this one for Martelize to wear tonight, because it matches the flower on her jacket.
Thelwyn reminds me of myself when she and Dorette were little. Het ek lekker popgespeel! Daughters (big and small) are such fun!
